Who We Are

In Choro Novo is a 20-25 member mixed-voice chorus based in the Boston area. Since its founding in 1994, the group has delighted audiences with its diverse repertoire and polished performances. Dedicated to singing all genres of choral compositions, a typical concert presents a spirited mix of a cappella and accompanied pieces that range from madrigals to jazz, classical masterpieces to spirituals, and contemporary pop arrangements to Broadway favorites. Made up of accomplished non-professional singers from the Boston area, In Choro Novo presents its major concerts in Boston University’s beautiful Marsh Chapel, and at the Campion Center in Weston.  The ensemble also performs for assisted living communities in the western suburbs,  at private special events and functions throughout the Boston area, and with local school choruses.
